It's been 3 years since I left my home in the US Virgin Islands leaving behind my family, friends, job, and everything that seemed to have made me, me. I have struggled with depression and the holiday is the biggest offender, I love my in-laws and my husband friends as they've been very welcoming but while everyone is surrounded by their family and friends I am not. To make things worse I lost my only remaining grandmother last month and wasn't even able to go back home for the funeral or even to see her before she passed it sucks to be so far away from home losing your family and you have to pretend to be happy. I am not ok and I don't know

Being a mother is quite a interesting position to be in, not only do I have myself to think about but I also have this little person to think about too. His father? Not so much lol, oh I think about him all the time but he's not with us right now and I miss him, soon we'll all be together again but for now little man has all my attention and his needs come first. It has been almost 3 months since I gave birth to my son and about a month since I have felt well enough to take up my camera again. I recently uploaded a lot of old pictures that had been waiting in my stash, I also uploaded some newer pictures I had taken in the past month and weeks. It's 24 days till my 27th birthday, my first birthday as a mom, I'm unsure what I will do, I don't think anything can beat going to France last year. I'm sure whatever I end up doing my son will make it memorable and I will enjoy myself.
